Bill Wallace Bio:
The founder and long-time leader of Success North Dallas, Bill Wallace has often said his greatest skill is putting together the right people, for the right reasons, at the right time. Emanating from a Rolodex that would put the U.S. government to shame, Bill’s generous “connection-making” has benefited countless individuals who have turned to him for trusted referrals, strategic business support, educational mentorship, and business / leadership coaching, as a “Certified Professional Coach.”
Bill’s professional career flourished along with his development of the now 30-year-old Success North Dallas, first as owner of Wallace Financial Group—a provider of business continuation planning, insurance and financial strategies—and, later, as Chairman and CEO of The Wallace Companies, a consulting firm specializing in capital development and executive management strategies. Bill currently serves on numerous Boards and is Chairman of the Board of eQuine Holdings.
As a member of the Board of Governors of Northwood University and a strategic partner and board member of the University of North Texas Professional Leadership program, Bill continues to help aspiring college students forge successful careers in business and the community. In 2016, Northwood University honored him with an Honorary Decorate of Laws (Honoris Causa) for his work in education, mentorship and business excellence.
Wallace is a charter member and past president of the Addison Rotary Club, a long-time member of CEO Netweavers, a past member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and the Author of the soon-to-be-released book, Be a Catalyst for Success,™ The Life of a Servant Leader. He has also served on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Advisory Boards of St. Alcuin Montessori School, Bryan’s House, and Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. In recognition for his work in the community, The Art of Living Foundation and the International Association for Human Values honored Bill with the Heroes of Humanity Award in 2009.
Scott Murray Bio:
From U.S. Presidents to U.S. Opens, the World Series to the World Cup, the Olympic Games to 35 Super Bowls, Scott Murray has covered them all. He spent over three decades with NBC television as a multi EMMY Award-winning television sports anchor and broadcast journalist. Scott was named Sportscaster of the Year 17 times by various news organizations. He has been recognized as a Living Legend of Journalism by the Press Club of Dallas and is a recipient of the prestigious Silver Circle Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Although Scott retired from nightly television news, he returned to NBC/DFW to host the weekly TV public affairs/philanthropic program, Talk Street for several years. He’s host of the EMMY Award-winning weekly television program, Conversations with Scott Murray and remains host of two weekly radio programs, The Scott Murray Show and Scott and the Doc on 570 KLIF. He’s a sought-after keynote speaker and a published author of two books (Whatever It Takes and Bring Out The BEST). In addition, Scott is Chairman/CEO of Murray Media, an Emmy Award-winning video/HD/television production and A/V event media company as well as a partner with Edgington/Murray Philanthropic Advisors, an innovative team of experienced fundraising and nonprofit consultants where the culture is one of “aspire philanthropy… inspire humanity.”
For decades, Scott has been involved with thousands of non-profit events that have raised millions of dollars. He served on the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee and as chairman of the Honorary Committee of the NCAA Final Four Tip-Off Gala. He’s presently on the board of trustees of the following: Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, Dallas Sports Commission, National Football Foundation / College Football Hall of Fame Gridiron Club; charter board member of the SMU Athletic Forum Board and the Doak Walker National Running Back Award; executive board member of the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award and chairman of the O’Brien Legends Award and Founder’s Award Committees; executive board member of the Armed Forces Bowl; executive board member of the Heart of Dallas Bowl; Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities, Children’s Cancer Fund, Children at Risk, text Protects, Center for Vital Longevity, National Kidney Foundation, Stallings Humanitarian Award, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation, Dallas Symphony Orchestra; President’s Advisory Council of the AT&T Performing Arts Center; founding member and former President of the Texas Motor Speedway Children’s Charities.
Scott stays active in the north Texas community as a volunteer, serving on the board/advisory boards of countless children’s, civic, charitable and non-profit organizations. His commitment to community has resulted in his being honored with a number of awards, yet, he’s also most humbled to have two awards that bear his name, be presented annually. The Arlington Chamber of Commerce honors a worthy recipient with the Scott Murray Excellence in Media Award, and, the National Football Foundation Gridiron Club of Dallas awards the Scott Murray Difference Maker Scholarship Award, given to a college bound graduating high school student scholar athlete who has made a philanthropic impact on his community.
